Not worth $15/month to me

Pretty much this. 

It kills any MMO for me. 

I was hoping it would be a one time pay up of something close to £100 or £200. I would have payed for that. But now that I know it's a monthly fee there is no way I am picking this up.

That's ... quite a bit expensive. Though I can understand that for an MMO.

The thing is, for that kinda price, I would have to know I want to play it and will do so for a long time (months). Anything less is not worth it. They need a "to level 20" free trial like WoW has. Not sure if that exists for it.

Or they could just release the game for £30 and then just give us the ability to make our own servers. That was Bethesda don't need to spend money on the upkeep of servers.

I've played beta since feb 28th, any questions about it just asked.

 

To put it simply, it's not worth a monthly fee, got boring as balls after a few play throughs. It's a good game, won't be big though.

I was really excited about this, until they announced it would be subscription based. Needless to say I now give no f**ks about TESO, I find the idea of paying monthly fee's for a video game asinine.

xbox/ps4 & monthly fee didn't go over well with the testers. and it drove away a lot of support. no one cares about it anymore, they hyped it up too much before release and killed the hype themselves with controversial changes no one wanted.

The problem is they need to have a sub model coz people get bored with content.. It costs money to make content.. I hope it becomes big.. Its hard to be a hit in such a saturated mmo market

That said I play and love swtor.. Which has both sub and free to play models.. Only sub if u wanna raid.. Then u can buy a weekly pass for raiding with in game money.. Which is super easy to get.

tbh the only MMO I'd pay a monthly subscription for is WoW and that's only for the PvP aspect because I know what I play it I have a lot of end game PvP waiting for me, and that is the best part of an mmo imo

the games not terrible by any means, and if it was a f2p game, with a succesful microtransaction business, it'd be extremely popular, ESPECIALLY if they kept it off consoles.

Thing is, MMO's have a harge time justifing the fee anymore.

WoW can get away with it because its been doing it for SO long, back then it was needed for server costs, now most of that $15 a month (or whatever it is) is pure profit.

 

B2P is the best model in my opinion, upfront cost with a cosmetic micros transaction store(non P2W).  However they seem to be incapable of doing it correctly.
