Poor mans PC

Glaith

For a "poor" man's PC, this is not that bad. I probably had a "poorer" PC when I first built mine, lol. The cable management looks good since by the look of the pictures, you're using a power supply that comes with pre-built PC's (A $500.00 HP PC for an example). I would also not recommend over clocking on the stock CPU cooler. I would wait and buy one of those $30.00 cheap CPU coolers. All in all, that looks like a nice PC.

Its a coolermaster 500 Watt not stock with tower but is a cheapy.

Looks pretty good, you may also want to consider Bitfenix Shinobi, Fractal Arc Midi R2, Corsair Carbide 300R/500R all good cases in the same price range, but you'll have to choose what you like :D.

Just some advice. I don't think you memory is running in dual channel mode. You should have the second module in the third slot. Other than that nice build. :)

Good eyes!

Uhh, I don't think that's true. IIRC, Asrock actually does have duel channel with both sticks on one side. They're kind of weird that way, since every other motherboard manufacturer alternates them. OP, you should double check you user manual if you still have it.

they are colour coordinated so he is right when he said they weren't in dual channel mode

You can work on the aesthetics later. Performance should always come first imo. Then when you have the cash to throw at your PC, go all out in the looks department.

Tbh not much money has gone towards the looks, like the title says its poor mans pc, in total have only spent about 800 dollers on this PC, been building it from recycled parts, and the performance is coming with the 7970. And Im happy with its power atm Im getting vid card for next gen.

Is that a Lenovo keyboard?

On another note, if you get a case with a window like that Tt case, investing in a new PSU with sleeved cables (not individually) would make it look good.

I love what you're doing, keep doing it!

These builds are so much cooler to see than any regular non-modded super-enthusiast component build like we so often see. Lots of respect man.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Got the 7970 today, thing makes my computer run so sweeeeet super stoked, took alot of saving but well worth it. Will show some better photos when tower is neat again, needs a clean and kinda had to remove my hard drive bays to make card fit, cable managment all revealed now :(  but well worth it.
