RAM for ROG Rampage V Ed10

penti01

So I've got a i7 6800K and a Rampage V ed10 mobo.

Have an option of either of the following, at roughly the same price:

Corsair Vengeance LPX 8x8GB 2400 64gb CL14

or

Corsair Dominator Platinum 2x16GB 3000 32GB CL15

I'm leaning towards the Dominator since it's sexy as F, slightly faster and slightly cheaper than the more memory Vengeance.

I'll also have more room to upgrade to a maximum of 128GB if I'd want to.

The Vengeance I'm now limited to 64GB max (which I'd most likely not even max out), but headroom is always better.

I'm also worried about mixing up two 2x16GB Dominators in the future, and Vengeance is in the QVL of Asus, which is a big bonus.

*edit, there's around a $30.00 difference between the two, the Vengeance I think is in Clearance, hence, I can get it at $270.00, which the Dominator is at $240

I'd do the Dominator Platinum, who needs 64 GB of any type of RAM for a gaming PC anyway. CAS Latency 15 is technically better anyway. =P

Only got those two.. There's also a 2x8GB Trident Z, but as much as possible, don't want to mix RAM kits.

Prefer 32GB worth of RAM, and can only get 2x8GB worth of Trident Z CL16.

Worth it to buy two kits and combine them up?

Yeah, if I'd have the choice, I'd do that.

However, in the Philippines, this is all I have access to.

I can always ship from Amazon, but risk not being able to RMA anything..
