Hello, LTT community!  I have question for you all today.  I entered into LTT's 3 Million Subscriber Giveaway and told them that I would prefer the Razer Blade (i7-6700HQ, GTX 1060) over the Blade Stealth (i7-7500u, onboard graphics).  I would generally be using it for gaming, computer programming, and general use (surfing the web, Microsoft Office, etc.).  I know that the GTX 1060 is a totally capable GPU for gaming, but how does the i7-6700HQ perform?  I looked it up on UserBenchmark, and they ranked the i7-6700HQ below an i5-6400 in desktop, gaming, single core, and quad-core performance.  This made me a little uneasy.  So, what do you guys say?  Is the 6700HQ a capable gaming processor?  If any of you could find any 6700HQ gaming benchmarks, that would be delightful! :)

The 6700hq is just fine, its the default i7 for non desktop grade variants. Not an issue.

The 6700HQ is perfectly fine for all but the most cpu intensive games. The main thing holding it back is the lower clock speed of 2.6ghz which would be comparable to an average-ly clocked IvyB i5 like the 3350p or 3470.

Its a fine processor, laptop chips will always be slower but that doesn't mean they're bad at all. I run my 4700HQ laptop at the turbo rate which is 3.2GHz all the time and the 6700HQ has a boost of 3.5GHZ which is of course higher clocked.
