Anyone else think this is funny?

Taswell

so I found this listed on amazon and apart from the title that sounds like it was worded by my dad it seems like a horrible idea ( the mounting method, good idea bad mounting)

You can't mount a CPU. Come on how do you mount a processor...

But honestly why mount a computer?

If you have a pentium ii, you can mount your processor because it is cartridge based:

I have several of those, I think one is a Pentium III and maybe an AMD CPU or two.

Ahh the good old days...

Except I wasn't even alive then.

Windows 3.1 dropped real mode support and required a minimum of a 286 PC with 1 MB of RAM to run

Windows 3.1 was available via 720 KB, 1.2 MB, and 1.44 MB floppy distributions

There isn't enough support for the front or rear of the case.....and they are calling it a CPU holder

OP's link does mount a CPU. It mounts one already placed on a motherboard that was then put in a case. 11/10. My CPU was always claiming to be someone called HAL and causing weird flashes inside of it's case. Now that I have this, and its metal legs can't reach the ground, escape, and hack more nuclear missiles! Thanks 3M!

P.S. If you live in the Andromeda Galaxy, you may want to move in a few million years. There MIGHT be a WMD heading there. Maybe. I only caught my CPU as it came home. Good luck!

Actually, when I was in elementary and high school, there was a few offices that had these.  As far as I know, none of them broke.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.

Windows 3.1 was the bomb! I learned so much about pc tweaking from my old packard bell 486/75 running win3.1 - mostly from fixing crashes but...

As pretty much everyone has said, it's a bad idea, if you need to get a PC off carpet or something, just stick a sheet of plywood or such under it, or get something like this:

Image result for floor pc riser

(The legs on it don't need to be anywhere near that length, though I'm sure they got one that was that tall so they could reach stuff easier with the PC being on the floor)

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W
