Testing uploaded image issue I am having... Give me your feed back guys.

Go to solution Solved by LogicalDrm,

I reported this bug on Saturday:

It happens when image is uploaded but not inserted into post. So to prevent that from happening (for now), all uploaded image must be manually added to post. So after uploading click "+"-sign on each image to insert them to cursor place in post editor.

Can you guys see my uploaded image???

Cos sometimes when I upload image I can only see a "?" and a white frame...

Whether you can or cannot leave a comment below. Thanks!

Nope. And I can see why.

Take a look at the URL: http://localhost/ips_themes/uploads/monthly_2016_08/57c4103787b78_ScreenShot2016-08-29at6.36.04PM.png.a6d9858bc17f6d7f4bd8713c75cab3fe.png

You know what the computer does when you tell it to load something from the hostname "localhost"?

"localhost" basically means "this computer": with that URL, you're instructing the computer to load the image from itself, which might work for you, but literally nobody else, unless they have the exact same image in the exact same place on their disk. You'll have to host the images on a web server that is accessible through the internet for anyone else to see it.

Really? It had been working for like half a year. Now all of a sudden i gotta upload it to imgur then direct the link here? I am confused. To be blunt I think there's another way to fix this. I'm not sure how.

Given the URL of your pictures, I seriously doubt anyone else has ever seen any of the pictures you've ever posted, even though they showed up for you.

You have a local webserver, probably either WAMP or XAMPP: Turn it off, then you'll see what your pictures looks like to everyone else.

I've taken screenshots of some of your recent posts that contains images, uploaded the screenshots to a VPS of mine that has the hostname "tnnss.net" and also has a public IP which the hostname "tnnss.net" resolves to.

Here's those screenshots:

I've seen several other people post images that links to localhost.

What exactly do you do when you upload pictures?

You know what, I might just have jumped to conclusions and assumed you were actually trying to host the images on your computer (which wouldn't work that way), when in fact you're just experiencing is a bug in the forum.

It's completely blown out of proportion. Also if you're the least bit worried about data gathering then you should go live in a cave a 1000Km from the nearest establishment simply because every device and every entity gathers information these days.
