Very few people on Battlefield servers?

So I am new to Battlefield and PC Gaming in general...tried to play Team Deathmatch this morning and half the servers I join are empty or there are like 4 people. Am I missing something? I tried playing Conquest which seems to have more people, but I just can't get into the huge maps where you spend 15 minutes to find a single person lol. Seems super disappointing compared to Xbox Live.

That´s normal in the morning. Keep trying again in the afternoon. Also check your filter so you can find more servers

There are thousands of people for me. Check out your filters when searching for servers, make sure the only servers that show are ones with at least half full lobby. Also if  you have all the expansions make sure they are all ticked. If you don't, it explains why there aren't many showing as most servers run at least 1-2 expansions and more. Also conquest is a lot more popular than tdm.

Alright I will check the filters thing...Conquest just seems so boring because I run for 10 minutes straight before I find anyone lol.

BF4 :

 

Play on 64 player server only otherwise it is boring as hell.

 

I play Conquest, Rush and Gun Master. Sometimes servers are down and at certain times of the day there isntany people playing.but mid day to evening i find full servers easily. (im in EU). Unfortunately Deathmatch servers are not popular :(

 

If u are playing Hardline or Star Wars then those died a month after release so no surprise there.

BF4 was awful. Even now the game is still buggy, maybe not as bad as it used to be. You can tell though that the game was rushed. Another thing to consider as well, we don't have mod tools to make maps and or modes. I mean CSGO has mod tools and even though the game is known for its competitive state. The server browser in CSGO is full of mods and gamemodes. This creates a long lasting community. 

 

Any who, I played a ton of Battlefield 3, which was a great game. Still not as good as Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 2 (god i miss those days).
