I'd recommend an Intel system. AMD is a dead platform.

This.

You will be able to play gta. Probably even recording, but you will be happier with the performance of Intel.

There's no alternative. Most Intel CPU's will beat the CPU.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | CPU Cooler: Stock AMD Cooler | Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) | RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 | GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB Zotac Mini | Case: K280 Case | PSU: Cooler Master B600 Power supply | SSD: 1TB  | HDDs: 1x 250GB & 1x 1TB WD Blue | Monitors: 24" Acer S240HLBID + 24" Samsung  | OS: Win 10 Pro

No it wouldn't run GTA, because you have DDR4 RAM when the CPU and motherboard only support DDR3 RAM :P  but I wouldn't recommend this configuration anyways.

Is this Australian Dollar? I would probably recommend something like i5 6500 and B150 motherboard or so. (Keep in mind you should go for DDR4 RAM with this configuration)

I would also not go for the GTX 970, it's just not something I would recommend now. The GTX 1060 6GB should be in your price range

Please AMD IS NOT A DEAD PLATFORM.

AM3 and AM3+ is a dead platform. but still has its uses in Budget scenarios like video editing and what not. anything that can utilize multiple cores effectively and if you are on a budget.

Once vulkan and DX12 comes out we'll see how much boost AM3 and AM3+ gets

meanwhile Zen is just around the corner with a 40% increase in IPC and its being compared against Broadwell-E at similar clocks.

don't just count out the whole company.

your basically telling new PC builders that AMD Is shit and Intel is good.

and if enough people do that. no new builders will buy AMD and than at the end it'll just be intel with all the money and AMD can't fight back. than you get intel pushing prices up for simple shit. when there is no financial competition.

WE ARE ALREADY SEEING IT WITH NVIDIA.

The new titan X is like 1200$ IT INCREASED!

SO PLEASE FFS DON't COUNT OUT AMD

you don't need overclocking, leaving everything at stock is perfectly fine.

AMD currently now is shit, with a budget of 1000$ your best bet is with intel. If you had like a budget of 300 or 500 Dollars probably AMD but currently AMD is shit right now.

Vulkan so far isn't on any titles so it's pretty garbage. And am pretty sure no games are going to support it cause why would they?

Zen is still very iffy, it's either a make or break for AMD. If it's not shit then it's good if it is shit then AMD is going to suffer massive losses again.

Titan X is 1000$ cause of dumb reasons that don't make sense. You can still buy other GPU's from Nivida less than 1000$ so your arguement is invalid
