Could get a cheaper mobo, 8GBs of RAM and a G2 instead of a P2 PSU and using the money saved you could get a nicer graphics card like the Red Devil 480 or Nitro 480 instead of reference.

Yes, I am fine with non-modular PSU and can save quite a good amount of money there. Also I would start with a single 8GB stick and if I need it I can get another.

A Seasonic S12ii 520W would be fine. Just saying, semi or full modularity is very useful.

I don't do much editing though, at least not enough to spend nearly an extra $200.

Heres the main why of the list.

-CPU: As i said, with this you can overclock to any speed you want, And can improve your gameplay and be futureproof. (yeah i still see some forums of guys using the I5 2500K for gaming)

-RAM: 16GB is without any doubts for now the sweetspot for every situation (Except for editing is slightly worst than 32 but is still good). this will give you the enough ram for any game.

-Storage: Well for this i choose the PNY because is the cheaper option i know and it got the usual speed of SATA III drives. with around speed of ~540 MB/s of read and write. is a pretty balance SSD, got 240GB for enough storage for the OS and any program of everyday use example: gooogle Chrome. and i added the 2TB drive for any storage you need.

-GPU: The GTX 1060 is slightly better than the RX480 and it got the almost same price of a custom RX480. i you want to know more bechmarks here .

-Case: The Enthoo pro is still the best case in the market as far as i know, i got space to any kind of MOBO form factors GPU and PSU sizes., good airflow, modular.

-PSU: Originally use the P2 for better efficiency(since it's 80+ platinum) but it will pass the 1000$ mark, so i added the G2 .(in my opinion i find stupid not spend 10$ more for better efficiency), and it got the enough power for your build. Make sure to follow this tier list as is a law. because can save you for unexpected explosions in you pc. try to buy tier 1 but if you really can't then follow the other tier list.
