Athlon X2 3800+ w/GTX 750ti?

Hey, guys.

My friend is a little bit tight on money but would like to upgrade his computer to host a 750ti. However, I don't think that his GPU will perform to its full extent due to the fact that he has an AMD Athlon X2 3800+.

Will the Athlon bottleneck the 750ti?

That CPU is archaic - no point in using it as it will bottleneck even a GT 710

Id go with a cheap 750ti yes ?But since its am2+ (I think) try find a cheap phenom x4 quad core can find them for 20$ great upgrade for little.
