It used to be various games in the Battlefield series for years (specifically, I liked the the Forgotten Hope and Desert Combat mods for BF1942 and Forgotten Hope 2 for BF2). I just get bored too quickly with most FPSs now.

I've played through the metro series 4 times each.  I just really love the atmosphere.   S.T.A.L.K.E.R. call of priyat is amazing as well.  I liked the F.E.A.R. series, but they were buggy and kind of generic. Half life 2 Will always be a favorite, and Bioshock 1 for my favorite ending and best atmosphere outside of metro.

Battlefield 2.

 

I put 10,000 hours into that game on my main account. I used to be in the top 100 in the world before that bastard indianscout(douchebag who worked at ea) got me reset out of spite. After the gamespy shutdown I haven't found a game like it to fill the hole. I still long for a game like BF2. BC2 was okay but too consolized for my tastes. BF3, BF4, Hardline and battlefront are all shit.

Single player PC its Doom OG. Nothing is more satisfying than playing coop with a bunch of friends and BFGing the crap out of everything. 

Multiplayer PC Unreal Tourney. Spent way too much time playing that with friends growing up

Single player console  - Golden Eye

MP consoles - COD MW. played religiously with friends from launch until our xb360s died. And perfect dark. Loved to piss people off with the far sight.

It's pretty solid if you just want some mindless running and gunning. If I want something a bit deeper I go for Arma.
