1070 vs discounted 980ti

I might want a new GPU soon, and the 1070 is pretty much what I need. They are about $430 for a good aftermarket one. But, EVGA is having a big sale for their 17th anniversary (forum post linked below) and their 980 ti's are around $400. Should I still go with a 1070, or jump on the 980ti deal?

$389 for a Classy is hard to beat. You could OC it to beat a 1070 with only 2gb of Vram less. Personally I would get the 980ti but others may disagree

If you're worried about right now, get the 980ti. If you're worried about the length of ownership, get the 1070.

 

Personally, I'd get the 980ti and trade up in a year.
