Couldn't raise my 4790K's score-the DDR3 1333 is really holding it back-and not just in Cinebench I've found.

Don't know if semeone has posted results of a older/slower PC. This is the oldest PC I have and actually my first one.

Specs: eMachines eTower 466i

CPU: Intel Celeron 466MHz

RAM: 512MB PC133 (2x256MB)

GPU: Gainward nVidia GeForce FX5200 128MB PCI

HDD: Seagate Baracuda 40GB IDE 7200rpm

OS: Windows 98 SE & Windows XP SP3

Benchmarked only the CPU with Cinebench 2003, GPU benchmarks crash and I didn't bother trying Cinebench R11 since the PC is from 1999. And it got a whopping 44CB score!

Look for the slot 1 benches-those are the older ones (and I could actually try a second run....now that I've got another working motherboard for them).

I'm going to see if I can get my Pentium II 233 (that came with my Voodoo 2+Viper V550) beating yours. Got the 440BX motherboard that I was talking about a while ago working flawlessly (its very picky as to which SDRAM works, and in which slot, and which video cards will be recognised).

Next week your Pentium II won't be so lonely. BTW, would it be possible to also add motherboards to the Slot 1 and socket 370 benchmarks, since they do have a massive impact on performance (can't wait until I can repair my Jetway 994AN-L so I can compare it to the ES440BX-2).

It is a reference 440BX motherboard....so the overclocking side of things is going to be a challenge (though with the aftermarket cooler that I've got available, temps shouldn't be an issue)

you dont even need a cooler to oc just a fan on the standard passive heatsink.

Mine actually has the active cooler (at the moment-its got a bit of corrosion on it however)-and the aftermarket cooler was actually bought for use with the Celeron 300A since it was being run at 450MHz.

It is nothing spectacular but works for me as an alternative to the school laptops that never work. Can do light gaming to like FTL: Faster Than Light on default settings and beamng.drive on the lowest settings possible.

I think that 1 of the modules "cores" has died....because that shouldn't be happening.
