Man reaches Steam Level 1070, owns more than half the games in platform's library.
PalmDesert, a 35-year old man from Japan, managed to get the incredibly high rating by owning 5132 games. That’s a huge chunk of the 9500+ titles and DLC packs found on Steam. He was the first person to reach level 1000, a feat Valve wasn’t prepared for - the company hadn’t even created an icon for the achievement at the time.

I honestly wouldn't see this as an achievement, it's more a tale of how consumerism can lead people to do crazy things, such as begging and buying you way to nearly $20000 worth of games, which valve made a hefty chunk of cash on.

That being said, I'm not shocked one bit that PalmDesert is level 1070. He's been reaching some really high levels for forever now, and for all of you to be shocked is really surprising.

Does it really matter?

I've blown $160 into Steam and never got anything out of it. And why am I fine with this? Because I'm not far from level 52. I don't have shit to worry about in terms of what I wanna spend my money on.

 

Also, does it really matter if he has a girlfriend.
