Posted June 30, 2016 I'm going to be configuring my newly bought server shortly and I've got one big question: Should I make datastores in ESXi and assign them to freeNAS to use or could I just pass through all the drives? Unless your using a HBA with pcie passthrough don't pass them through. ZFS is designed to have direct acess to the storage. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
