Is this dangerous? (details below)

CandleJakk

Hi guys, the other day my monitor went black and I went, "oh!". Then I realized the power cable had come out. *wipes sweat* Phew, at least it wasn't my PC. That got me thinking - If it was my PC that suddenly got unplugged / the power cable fell out (it was the latter which happened) would anything bad happen or would my parts be damaged?

Thanks all!

It matters on what your PC is and what you're doing. Generally it's not healthy. HDD vs SSD is a big factor though (imho)

File corruption is really the only thing you need to worry about. You will probably be fine if this sort of thing (unexpected power shutdowns) happens a couple of times during a computers life. but the more often it happens, the more likely you are to run into complications.

Another possibility why I've been going through 2 re-installations and windows explorer still crashes. Damn you BC Hydro.

Probably not. Your system would just crash. Worst case scenario is software corruption, as @Endermansaid.
