fx 6300 vs a10 6700

i have an amd a10 6700 and i want to upgrade. is the fx 6300 any better? or is there any chance the a10 is the better cpu?

Go for an i5

yeah im probably getting an i5 6500 but just wondering which is better, fx 6300 or a10 6700?

The A10 is only better in terms of iGPU (as the FX 6300 has no iGPU :P ). But in terms of CPU performance, the FX 6300 is slightly better or equal to it (because more threads, but applications like games do not often support more than  4 cores).

 

Since you will have to get a new motherboard as well, you might as well go over to Intel. Look into Skylake (like an i5 6500) or even Haswell-e (like i5 4460) if you don't have the money to go for Skylake (since with Haswell-e you can re use your RAM)

FX 6300 matches or beats an i3 4170 so it's MUCH faster

6300 is more cancer than cpuboss, 6350 with some cheap water cooling is not that bad through, still that a10 sux, 6800k is much better than 6700, getting FM2+ CPU or APU without K in it's name is pointless
