New PowerColor Devil RX480 in the works?

I wonder if they will release a dual Vega card too, once it comes out. 

Dual Polaris card, for the right price, sounds like an awesome graphics setup for a very powerful small form factor pc.

The thing is, the 480 performance seems to be around 390 and if you put 2 together that would probably match 1070.

But the 1070 most likely to come down in price to about 379$ as the original suggested price, which then make dual 480 virtually impossible unless it performs close to 1080.

Isn't 480 supposed to be 390x to Fury at the most?

With optimized drivers I can see 390x - 980.

But that wont happen at least for now.. perhaps into the future much like happen to 390X was behind 980 and now its faster in many games...

How can you tell? The card is not even out yet. It could be better then a Titan X or worse then a GT9600. We just have to wait 4 days. If this is a dual gpu card I will be picking it up if it is at $399 not $499

Well, I think if 2 of them beat a 1080(Even if AoTS was the game), then one card can and should perform on par with the 980.

Just my gut feeling tho.

And you'd be wrong. GPU-Z screenshots already have the thing at 1.6GHz, which is more than a 100 MHz overclock.

That would be totally true, if photoshop does not exist. But in the current timezone, photoshop exists and that GPU-Z screenshot has a fair chance of being photoshopped. The rest of time we should be happy for that price/performance ratio is probably gonna be good on the RX-series. 

 

On subject, the possible dual gpu card, however not that practical in a lot of situations, is quite interesting if it is revealed. It would be interesting to see where it lands in performance.

So has reports of the 480 being as fast as a Fury and running at 60c.. 

can tell you and you will probably see also around the web by now, the card runs at default around 78c, and 86c overclocked
