is this "standard asrock 2way bridge" made for the GTX1000 series?

is it the same as the new nvidia high bandwidth SLI bridge?

SLI issues - common problem. Try different driver

1080's use a different SLI Bridge. With that you're not getting the whole possible bandwidth. You need the sli made for the GTX 1000 series.

You're using a standard 2-way sli bridge, but not the recommended for the gtx 1000 series. That's why you're getting bad framerates, I guess.

Not only is that NOT the proper bridge, SLI's don't scale well with the 1080 series unless using benchmarks. I saw some benchmarks from tech guys and saw barely any justice in games except a few top games. Some were even worse.

No you don't need the different SLI bridge. And he can use a standard 3 way bridge of the previous generation.

Yes that will be fine.

If your gpu core clocks de-sync (say due to temperature down clocking on one card and not another) you will likely have stutter issues. This looks very much to be the case based on your gpu temps. It is one of the many reasons I never recommend reference designs.

One way to deal with that is to increase the temp limit and fan speed of the top card.

Additionally as @don_svetlio mentioned, it is a good idea to try a different driver.

It's been proven in below 4K settings, there's little to no difference between older and new HB SLI bridges on the 10x0 cards...

Thank you for reading!

Which games are stuttering? Might be known SLI issues with them...

im using only 1 standard bridge and suttering is happening on 4k and 1920x1080 witcher 3 the division rise of the tomb raider. Cs Go is worst i have so much fps drop its not playable. Im trying to do everything but nothing helps. Should i rise power limit, temps limit  and fans with afterburner or leave it.

All of the above. On CS:GO you shouldn't bother with SLI at all, as your gpu single will do more than enough, and the frame pacing of SLI at those fps rates isn't going to be great.

You should have no issues whatsoever with witcher 3, but the division has some really bad issues with sli. Tomb Raider should work well in DX11 mode.

You need a led bridge. It's a hard shell bridge with lighting on it. That will do everything the new HB bridge will do except 5k and surround.

I'm seeing good results from my 1070 sli. It was aggravating setting it up, but this is my first computer build. It was drivers I think.

I maxed every setting except msaa on GTA V, and the benchmark never went under 100fps on 4k!

Im third on the 4k valley leaderboard.
