Phone OS user psycology/thought process Survey

AlTech

Hi guys,

The other day I got really interested in the idea of how the Phone OS we choose says something about who we are as a person.

And I want to figure out if that's actually true or not.

Please fill out the survey!

Thank you :)

Interesting results from the survey. Not what I expected from an Android user.

Interesting results. Not what I expected from an Android user.

I'm the type of person who only checks my phone maybe 2-3 times a day. Right before work in the morning, during my lunch break, and an hour before I go to bed. If the age range of LTT was (>16); (17-26); and (27+) I'm in that older bracket, so that's probably why I chose my answers the way I did.

But then again, it appears you aren't alone and several others chose similar answers to what you did.

@AluminiumTech I find it a bit biased that you are asking about 3 Windows mobile OS's but only one off android and one of iOS. Also why don't you include Symbian, FirefoxOS and Ubuntu Phone OS to the list?

But who uses Ubuntu phone OS? I know you're going to tell me how hypocritical I probably sound! But people actually use Windows Phones!

And the same with Symbian and Firefox OS! Nobody uses them!

But why are you sub-categorizing Windows Phone. iOS and android have a larger market share globally, it is like saying what kind of laptop do you have: "Dell, Apple, ASUS, ACER, HP Pavilion, HP Probook, HP Elitebook, HP Zbook" but with that space you could have included "Toshiba, Lenovo, IBM, Panasonic".

You have not gained anything by sub categorizing windows phone, but you potentially lost some information in the process.

There was a point to having multiple versions of Windows Mobile/Phone.

I was trying to see if different versions of Windows Phone would give a different answer. I didn't do it for the rest cos I'm very sure I would get the same answer for the both the new and older version of the OSes.

Also (I know it's besides the point) BUT who uses Panasonic laptops????!!!!

I feel that Windows mobile have and also will continue to be the professional mobile phone for people who need their phone for a productivity device, not saying that everyone uses it for that.

iOS (and apple products in general) have been marketed as the peoples phone, android is that to in a certain extent.

I agree i have a 8350/7770 desktop and a chromebook but if i can replace both with my phone this is will save money of electric costs of course when i'm in a coding mood the desktop will need to be on. I use my chromebook to write my reports, currenlty writing a report on whether hacking can be ethical any way sometimes i want a big screen and a full size keyboard and docking my phone would be perfect for it.
