Need an LGA775 Motherboard

Hey guys,

 

I have an old rid collecting dust that my brother wants so he can play lol on it. Problem is, the mobo is fried. Is there anywhere on the interwebz I can find a mobo for a q6600 that supports sli for 2x8800gt?

did u try ebay or amazon

try finding a 680i or  780i mobo

or intel any intel board with p35 x38 p46 x48  (with sli hack)

 

are u using ddr2 or ddr3 with that system ?

No I was looking more at retailers like newegg. ddr2 800mhz

775 boards are old xD u wont find them there

DDr2 boards = 680i 780i p35 x38

DDr3 boards = 790i p45 x48

 

i cant believe i still remember every detail about old hardware

used to love the hardware scene from 2006 - 2009

Yea 775 will be hard to find. I still have my brothers old P5B board pencil modded running a e6600! lol. its pretty slow compared to current hardware tho. but sli 8800's would be "ok" for lol. 

 

I would say ebay? not many stores will have anything I don't think.

Finding higher tier boards will be tought, good luck with it. Hopefully someone has some in storage still. Getting some high end used could be viable option also since those boards are made to last longer.

I got that sucker up to I want to say 3.2 with moderate air cooling. I didn't have the balls to push more. Plus, I don't think the P5B would have taken much more.
