Hi everyone! I'm currently building a PC, and while I planned on putting a GTX 970 in my build, some complications came up with my budget, and now I only have $150 or less to throw at a used Nvidia GPU... No, I am not waiting for the 1070, I've spent 2 years waiting to build this rig, and 90% of it is already being shipped out now. And no, I'm not interested in AMD products. I'm a 3D Artist, and AMD is not very compatible with my software of choice. Anyhow, CUDA Cores and Vram are very important factors... I have a 750 Watt PSU to power it, but low power is more optimal, because in 6 months to a year, I'm going to save up for the 1080, because of it's abundance of CUDA Cores :P Any help is appreciated, and please only link if the company is United States based, or will ship to the United States. Thanks :)

-Joey

Perhaps... Is a 770 better than a 750 4 GB ti? Or a 960?

Better than the 750 about the same as the 960

And how does the 770 compare?

that was the comparison, maybe the 770 is a tiny bit faster than the 960, but Nvidia have maybe nerfed the 770.

But they kinda do just a insanly little at a time we are maybe talking 5% of a single frame nerf. I have seen Nvidia drivers nerf performance on the 780ti just before the 900 series was out. There was a update for a new game update (BF4) I did not download the update before I played it and I got about 8fps more than after the update, so yeah they do this.

the gullible ones are people like you who refuse to look at benchmarks of older GPUs before the 900 series was released and compare them to recently done benchmarks using the newest drivers

GUESS WHAT?

the GTX700 series didnt lose any performance

its the GTX900 series which continuously got better with driver updates

maybe you need to look up the definition of "nerfed" because clearly you dont understand what is happening here

770 or 960 if you can find them. Doubt you'll find anything better in that price range unless you wait for desperation unloads of 970s.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

So loosing 8fps with a driver update is not beeing nerfed, I think you need to look up the definition of a lot of things and get out of your own little dream world. I OWNED THE GOD DAMN 780TI AND SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES.

You are joking right? Have you not updated your drivers yet? Nvidia are making shit drivers right now and no the performance of the 900 series does not really get better.

lol

well my 770 is getting more fps now than it did 2 years ago, so "I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES"

if you're going to base facts on some random test you did yourself with no control or multiple benchmarks, thats useless data

go look at real professionally done benchmarks of 700 series cards, and you will see that they did not lose performance compared to 2 year ago before 900 series was released

in most cases they got BETTER

so yeah

thats why i dont go around saying "I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES MUST BE TRUE"

because 1 test doesnt mean anything
