good cpu cooler for skylake 6700k overclocked

Go to solution Solved by aisle9,

Nothing's going to beat the NH-D15. If your case, motherboard and wallet are big enough for it, it's second to none. If you can't quite afford it, the NH-D14 isn't far behind.

If you want something smaller and/or cheaper, check out the Cryorig H5 series and H7, the Thermalright True Spirit, anything by beQuiet or the Phanteks TC-12DX.

I wouldn't do anything smaller than a 120mm tower cooler for a 6700K unless it was an ITX build, so the L9i is more or less out.

h100i corsair, personally my favorite AIO cooler of all time.

I agree with partypanda64. If you truly want great overclockability, get an all in one liquid cooler like the H100i for the Kraken X61. You could even get a single fan cooler and be able to overclock a little bit less than the double fan coolers.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Check out the Cryorig H7 as well.  It's about the same price as a 212 evo, and it's supposed to be a bit better.  Looks sweet too.
