Step 1) do not flash bios

 

Step 2) there is no step two because you didnt brick your bios!

ok found it

 

look at page 1-34 or page 48 of your manual

 

you need to download the AFUDE238.exe tool and the new BIOS from MSI into a thumbdrive

 

BIOS recovery with AFUDOS command
When BIOS updating fails or causes the computer non-bootable, you can recover the
failed BIOS by the steps below.
Preparation:
1. Prepare a bootable USB flash drive.
2. Download the latest BIOS file from the MSI official website at www.msi.com, and
then decompress the file.
3. Copy the AFUDE238.exe and the BIOS file to the bootable USB flash drive
BIOS recovery steps:
1. Power off the computer.
2. Set the Multi-BIOS switch to the functional BIOS ROM.
3. Insert the bootable USB flash drive you have made to the USB port.
4. Boot the computer into the bootable USB flash drive.
5. Set the Multi-BIOS switch to the failed BIOS ROM.
6. Execute the below command to flash the BIOS:
For example: AFUDE238 EXXXXIMS.XXX
7. Restart the computer after the BIOS flashing is complete.

Edit: Also, yeah, generally, rule of thumb is, unless there's a feature you really need, or there's a terminal issue, bios flashing is pretty risky business.

Oh, so every time you buy a CPU that's compatible with your motherboard after a BIOS update, you should just get a new motherboard with all the money you didn't have to spend on anything else anyway.

That happened to us one time during a hurricane. Our power lines are underground in our development, but further outside on one of the main roads, there are poles and the transformer got completely destroyed, not even like a slight damage type of thing. Took them a week to get us power again -_-
