Should i upgrade before considering buying a GTX1080?

So i do alot of gaming/streaming/Youtubing/ect, and i was thinking of upgrading to a 1080 once either i can Afford a founder card or i start hearing good things from custom cards from evga/msi/ect .

My PC Specs~

1. HDD           - 2TB Harddrive (some seagate drive i cant remember)
2. Core          - Intel Core i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz
3. Ram          - Corsair vengeance (BLUE) 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit
4. GFX Card  - MSI GTX 670 power edition
5. MOBO       - MSI Z87-G41

Also my case is a  Thermaltake Chaser MK-I if any ones curious.

This is the "My Baby" build That i am currently using. I know its not  "high end" and needs atleast another 8GB of ram (possbly an ssd as well) I was wondering if i  would need to make a serious upgrade to avoid major bottlenecks or if it wont be too bad.
Edit: I Mean upgrading The other parts besides the video card like the mobo or core.

Of course you should upgrade, that is why they come out with new cards.

Would not even touch a Founder's edition card until AIB partner boards are out. Especially given how, once again, the blower cooler is thermal throttling to bits. Also something doesn't add up...

If you want 85 degrees under load or a hairdryer with average temps, yeah, go for it

Oh I think they look pretty cool as well, even though I'm not always partial to aesthetic builds, but it's just got way too much of a premium on it for poorer performance. (Assuming of course AIB Partner cards will be in the MSRP range, and not overshoot the Founder's)

I hope, I'm sort of suspicious this time around because this is a first for this pricing scheme, but we'll see.

Are you kidding?

It's going to be $922 minimum according to Google's 700 USD to CAD conversion this second.

For Founders Edition anyway

Don't get the founders edition, at least not before custom coolers come out. Tests have shown that it throttles a bit with the refrence cooler.
