The childhood games I played. There was a monster truck one I used to play that was awesome.

If anyone can find what I'm thinking about, it's a monster truck game from like, a LOOONG time ago.

Now that I think about it, it was probably Diablo 3.

Been playing PC games from before I can remember. Playing games like RollerCoatser Tycoon, LOTR FOTR, ultimate ride, stronghold, warcraft 2. Always played PC and Console they both offer some great games and benefits that the other doesn't.

Well first game I ever played on PC was Pharoah in 1999, but the first games that saw me start to abandon Playstation (up until about 2005 I'd played on both) were probably LOTR BFME and this surprisingly awesome game called Battle at Procyon, based off the Disney film Treasure Planet. That and Lego Rock Raiders :P

After that, my PC gaming went up a gear in 2008 when I got Left 4 Dead and, crucially, Steam. Any one of those could be considered my "gateway" into PC gaming tbh, it depends where you place the gate :)

omg I feel so old right now. First game... tbh I am not sure but the first game that hooked me that I actually owned was Manic Miner

I also used to play games like Donkey Kong on Game & Watch machines from Nintendo on which I got very addicted also. Not sure if that was before or after tbh but seeing as they have been around since 1980 I'd imagine that before

Wolfenstein, Doom, Blake Stone, Raptor, Street Rod, heroes of might and magic, command and conquer.

Those are some of the most prominent in my mind of PC games I played back in the early/mid 90's

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I started with Lego Racers (1 and 2) on the PC. Then Roblox did a large push back in 2008. Minecraft made the final push for me and it was what convinced me to get a gaming computer.

Every topic I post in dies.

Doom was the shit, I could never make past the third level but I had so much fun playing the first 3 over and over again looking for secrets (I was only 8). I still remember the day I finally got to the chainsaw in the first (maybe second) level, that was a good day.

Ahh the nostalgia of an actual challenging game, I remember those days. You want a challenge? Go play Manic Miner, 3 lives 99 levels and every time you die the level restarts. Most of you will find it hard to get past the 1st level never mind doing it without dying first time around.

P.S: Am I the only one here who started playing games in the early 80's?
