How much do you think the 900 series cards price will drop after the release of 1000 series?

koseliserat

So how much do you think the prices of 900 series cards will drop after the release? Looks like we have the highest jump in along time in gpu power so I am curious how much they ll cut the price of 900's to make up for that.

Meh

Before benchmarks I was thinking about selling my R9 390 nitro for under 250€, but I won't sell it under 280€, since GTX 1080 isn't such a beast as I was expecting.

iv seen a Titan (original Titan, not some new version) with a water block and no stock cooler for $100 a week ago lol, i know that isnt 900 series but thats still a pretty powerfull card :P well i think the 900 series is going to drop super low tbh because the 1070(MSRP) is just slightly more expensive then a 970 new right now(In Sweden) and 970s are going for under $300 used right now(about $430 for a new one here right now)

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

Nothing has changed so far in Germany.
Used 980s still cost 350-400€.

Price won't drop for old cards, probably a little, but it won't be significant.

Similar if not the same targetaudience for higher end cards - I've seen 980ti  for less than new 970s a granted, those were used but still...
