  1. Hi everyone, A week ago I found some cheap SP120s online and decided that I need to upgrade the lightning in both my room and for my PC to avoid going crazy as the lockdown continues here in the UK. I decided to replace two exhaust fans at the back of my NZXT h510 and two radiator-mounted intake fans at the front with the SP120s that I just bought. After finishing the installation, my PC would turn off after couple of minutes / some times seconds of being on and in the course of troubleshooting, I noticed that the temperatures were rising to the point where they kept triggering th
  2. Hi there! I am going through the same process at the moment and the best option I found so far was to either buy a pre-built machine through Next Day PCs (that one is i7 8700K one, though). The cheapest you could configure it at is around ~1400 with the 1080Ti. Really good value, in my opinion and they deliver within 24 hours if you order before 2pm. With regards to Ryzen based machines, this configuration on Overclockers UK (https://nextdaypc.co.uk/collections/all/products/build-your-own-intel-coffee-lake-pc?variant=12286868422720) enables more customization, however is slightly
  3. They are looking into using it in order to resocialize prisoners.... 500 year punishment in one day sounds like a lot of time for them to rethink their lives

  5. My set up looked similar... expcept for the fact I boguth a new desk Also, my chair is terrible, may share the photo some day as well. Also, is this by any chance UK?
  6. It depends when exactly you joined the EU - as part of the 'integration' process they may have asked your country to implement VAT as a standarized rip-off tax
  7. Oh, I know the retailers in the US in general do not display the tax - the thing is, though, that here in Europe VAT is always included in the shown price. Alsio, 8.25% is the tax rate for Texas, while here it is a flat 22% rip off... Funny enough, it is the EU that imposes VAT on the citizens as a mean of a member state making moneyz... I am just wondering whether they will remove VAT in case of leaving the EU - my guess would be that they won't
  8. Senheiser will be underwhelming at this price - I had a pair of £40 headphones from themn (which in some places retailed at £69) and I was extremely dissapointed. Have you tried any of the Sony headphones? Some of them are great - go to your local Curry's and check what they have on display. I don't really have an opinon on the other ones.
  9. VAT is at 22% in the UK, for example - shipping a freight container of those cards shouldn't cost more than $20-$30k and you would most likely fit thousands of boxes in one of those, which menas that the cost of shipping shouldn't get even close to, let's say, 5% of the value of a single card. Duty varies on a product basis, but $699 cannot change into $950 umless this duty is at 20%, which is highly unlikely unless UK is delibarately creating their trade agreements with the sole purpose of ripping everyone off.
  10. They are currently available as pre-orders in the UK, but you can have a look at their different designs already. This is kind of cool: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/search?sSearch=geforce+1080 ASUS STRIX Gaming Aura RGB .... I will have you. EDIT: 1070 will also be available with RGB, if you are interested It's already on the ASUS website
  11. They should be available soon and this is the one I will be saving for: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus-geforce-gtx-1080-directcu-iii-strix-gaming-aura-rgb-8192mb-gddr5x-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-401-as.html RGB lighting.... my only weakness...
  12. Wise words - Wise words - Wise words - Wise words - tessolation - Wise words - Wise words - Wise words - Wise words - Wise words - AMD - Wise words - Wise words - Wise words - Wise words - improvement I am looking forward to it as well - but I might pick up 1080Ti if it really si released this year... Damn, how on earth will I tell my girlfriend we're not going on holidays this year
  13. 150 is a fair price and this is why you managed to sell your cards. With the advent of new GPUs, I would personally neither ask for more than 1/3 of the original price or, at that, pay more than 1/3 of the original price for an older generation cards... I eprsonally have 980 in my PC and I paid 379 pounds for it, while the same ones are being listed on eBay for 350... People are fucking dumb. Good for you - it was about time for your to switch. The problem now, though is that you will wait till 2017 to get the 1080 TI
  14. Well, stock market reacted well to that as AMD reaches the highest for a year
