GTX 1080 triple monitor questions.

OK, I basically have just one question. I run triple monitors, and hope to one day upgrade my 980 to a 1080, so i can take advantage of how the 1080 does triple monitors, but with that update, will shadowplay ever be compatable with recording at that kind of resolution? as of right now, shadowplay does not work for recording while Nvidia surround is enabled.

Other things im wondering is since i have a 980, i thought about SLI, but I'd have to completely rebuild my system for that. (i run mini ITX in the Silverstone RVZ01-b) I could get the 1080 and use the abilities of that to get a better experience with the surround setup, or is it time to upgrade my panels? i have three 19" TN office monitors at 75hz, and 2 of them have some horrible edge light bleed.

yeah, but I have a small desk, and the 3 of the monitors take up the whole desk, since my PC is on my desk too

Just use OBS?

I'm also fairly certain that multi-projection stuff is going to have to be included in a game for it to work and if you already have a 980, just wait for the 1080 ti man

Or buy better displays first lol, though the free-sync ones will naturally be cheaper than G-sync.

Do you mostly play simulators or something that needs the 3 monitors? as I'd just go for one 40" 4k display or something like this before you buy high end GPUs

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Only 400 for 1440p 144hz TN, $550 for IPS, you wouldn't want the ASUS versions, crappy free-sync implementation, but really it's probably not worth buying a new GPU before getting nicer displays man

well, if you want to give my the freekin $1200 to do so, i would be more than obliged to get that monitor, other than that, that is a dumb recommendation. I would rather look into getting just 1 Acer G257HU to start out with.

Less than 3 good 1440p Displays. Not so dumb in my Eyes.

Get a single 29" or 34" ultrawide in 21:9 if desk space is an issue, it also solves a lot of Surround issues while you're at it. :)
