polaris is low end and mid range stuff...it will be nowhere near that fast...and it will be cheap...energy efficient, but relatively slow, and cheap...and it's not ready...

You're getting confused by your own incoherence and overall just making up crap. Can you provide sources?

379$ for a GTX 1070...faster than a titan X too...what did you not understand in that? RIP AMD!

If that really beats the Titan X at stock clocks that card is going to sell like a fucking madman at $370. I bet it won't be as hard to get as the 970 was though, where it took a month and a half before you could reliably find them in stores. The reason being that it's doubtful you'll be able to OC a 1070 to stock 1080 levels thanks to GDDR5 instead of GDDR5X, while the 970 could often be OC to stock 980 levels. Nvidia did a much better job segmenting their lineup this time, and I imagine the 1080 will sell better than the 980, 1070 less than the 970.

The GTX 1080 is 2X the performance of a Titan X and 3X the perf/watt and it's 599$

the GTX 1070 is also faster than Titan X but he did not said ''how much'' but it's also gonna be 3x per/watt and this one is 379$

both are 8GB...the 1070 is 8GB DDR5 and the 1080 is 8GB DDR5X

Do you not understand that AMD has an entire line of cards on the way in Polaris? It's been news for like half a year. It will have an even better die shrink with 14nm FF LPP versus TSMC's 16nm FF+ in Pascal.

It's not 2X the performance of Titan X. Maybe in VR, but that was a boldface lie by their CEO.

yes most likely...but it's says ''up to 3X the performance'' on the site right now...so in VR...up to 3X as fast as a titan X.

So I can safely assume that either the GTX 1070 or 1080 would be perfectly fine for 1440p gaming?

Still nuts how Nvidia was able to pull that off and keep similar prices.

That's actually a pretty steep price increase for the 1080. A 980 is selling for 460/530$ USD That's in the best case scenario a 13% to 30% increase

I hope the 1070 > Titan X wasn't one of his lies.

i think, honestly...i think the 1070 will perform similar to an overclocked 980ti...and the 1080 will blow it out of the water.
