How do I keep my room cool?

unknownindividual

So where my room is located, upstairs corner, it gets hot when im in the room. But how do I regulate the room temperature with a:

- Xbox 360

- PS4

- Monitor

- Non-watercooled pc

- 32" TV

These products are usually running when im using my setup for gaming or productivity. It gets crazy hot in my room so I turn on my fan, which pretty much does nothing but make noise. These are a lot of things producing heat, which is why its so hot after just 30 min of everything running.

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations to keep my room at a cool temperature with all this heat from my devices?

It's interesting you say 'Non-watercooled pc', because it shouldn't make any difference how it's cooled.

Are you able to get some sort of AC unit?

Sig under construction.

TBH i have the same issue but since its scotland its alot worse as no one sells air con units xD. I usually open my windows and have a fan pulling air in from the windows which forces the hot air out.

Hope this helps :P

Simplest would probbaly to slap a box fan to the window if you have one or doorway to get some crossflow through the room. That or some old case fans work quite well I do that when I have all the windows open :P

if its too cold, turn everything on and it'll warm the place up

if its too hot, turn everything off

i dont see how else you'll use these to regulate a room temperature tbh

jokes aside, your best bet is to either open any windows you have and ventilate your room

or install an AC

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Or if you have 2 fans have one intake from the house in your room and the box-like one as exhaust

you can ask your parents to buy an air conditioner if its too hot...

or you can get a job

or you can sell those consoles and buy an air conditioner or fan

lots of options

There's also such things as saving up and budgeting things.

In such a way that you could have money saved for times like these when you could really use something that costs a chunk of money.

Sig under construction.

you know , get dry ice, then, put it in a bucket with a fan in the top. not only will this cool you down but also makes a great smoke machine lol.

But the dry ice will be expensive and won't last forever!

Surely there's dry ice everywhere!

And yes, the rain helps!

Why don't you make some sort of heat exchanger that takes rainwater before it hits your gutters and runs it over some coils that you're somehow exhausting heat from your room into?

a reusable solution is water, freeze it, then put it back in, repeat.

This has the negative effect of no smoke machine ,

Mount an intake fan in the window and an exhaust fan in the door. Negative pressure will be a more effective means of cooling by a couple of degrees, but unless you have window screens covering all gaps between fan and window, you could end up drawing in tons of birds. Built up bird crap is the number one cause of overheating in a negative pressure system.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.
