What's a decent laptop for gaming?

CoolMarquis97

I've been searching for a gaming laptop for quite some time but can't find something that fits my requirements. It has to be less than $800 and has to at least be a 15 inch display. I just want something that can run all games on lowest-medium settings. Games like torchlight 2,battlefield 3, grand theft auto 4, fallout 3. What are some recommendations of laptops that can fulfill my needs?

Thanks for the help!

At $800 you might still be hard pressed - looked at Dell XPS line or another one of their 15" with some upgraded graphics?

Aside from the XPS, the only other option I can think of would be the DV6 line from HP though recently - about the last 6-8 months - HP quality has been declining and I was talking to a local store assistant and they're selling more of the Asus now. However it isn't all bad - I've got two friends with DV6's and they're happy with the performance though I think both of them have had to RMA them for various issues.

Try looking into MSI's CX series laptops, they have some around the 500-800 mark, with 15.6inch screens and a 645m, which should be decent enough.

Anything with a GT630M or higher GPU could play games. If you could add a few hundreds then you could get a Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 which has GTX660M that would play any games on medium to high settings.

One of my coworkers has an ASUS ultrabook with a GT620M in it and it runs skyrim at 1080p.

So you don't need high end, you could also look for laptops that run AMD APUs as they are significantly better than Intel's onboard graphics.

If you're in canada:
