i7-3930k V i7-4930k

There is (almost) no price difference. The Ivy Bridge processors have a very uneven heating pattern. If you go with 4930k then you really should open the processor and fix the thermal glue issue. If you go with the Sandy Bridge then you will have no issues. I am hoping to see a big price drop on the 3930k by the end of the year,,,, here's hoping.

Depends. 3930k is easier to overclock, but 4930k has better out of the box clock speeds.

It's all about winning.

If you're gonna spend that much on a cpu the price difference is negligible. go with the fastest (in this case the 4930k).

However I would not recommend this kind of cpu for gaming, it is simply unnecessary. I would spare on the cpu and buy, say, a better monitor or additional monitors. But that's your choice, if you've got the money and you want all that power then go for it :)

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
