Quake like multiplayer, weapon pickups across the map which encouraged strategy.. now we have load outs????????

good thing i never played the original doom because my mom banned me from it after she saw my brother play it.

 

and games change it's just life, they make games to make money so they are going to make it so it appeal to the majority of games and now that is all the kids who play call of duty so they make it appeal to them. 

 

but you can go and play the olds ones if you want, it's why they are still around. you can always learn to develop games and make a game that you would like if you really care that much.

 

and just because you won't like it doenst me others won't. so you cant say it WILL be bad. say it won't be how I expected it.

It's just Halo with Doom skins though... you don't get it, the real Quake or UT style no longer exists in any AAA game.

DOOM still had the quake style it just was not done very well with DOOM 3.

well to be honest i rarely play AAA games because they all seem the same now. i like indie games. the only AAA game i play is Skyrim and GTA 5 on occasion. but i do play ps1/ps2 AAA games

I would think the vast majority care more about Doom SP if anything.  I've got the Alpha, both Alphas.  Didn't like it all that much.

All we have right now for competitive is CSGO, it's obviously a high skill ceiling game but it requires nothing of the talent needed for Quake or UT, quick reactions are 50% of the game in CSGO.

 

This new DOOM will remove any need for tactical thinking as you spawn with a Rocket Launcher and have load outs...
