Speed, movement ability, recoil, strategy, map design, the entire lot is VERY different.

But what you said count for CS too. CSGO is just a Shadow of what CS once was. But thats just me i guess.

Again we are making a fuss over a game people that isn't even out yet. Let's wait until the game comes out and then see how it turns out. 
It's funny how you mention "the old formula" and then mention MP considering most Doom games didn't have it, if you want to put it that way. Doom was always about SP and that made it great, so if you want to complain about MP don't mention how it doesn't have "the old formula" because MP certainly wasn't part of it. 

And are we really 11 years old to compare real Halo vs real UT players or something like that?

The way I see it, you have two reasonable outlets for your anger: Bethesda, for lying to you with their marketing material; or yourself, for getting so hyped from that marketing material that you can be so disappointed in the first place.

 

"This generation of gamers" is a scapegoat. If the type of AAA games you'd prefer to play aren't being made, it's because no one's buying them. Not just because the 15-year-olds aren't buying them—I doubt the 30-year-olds are buying them much, either. I don't think gaming is old enough or big enough for any individual "generation" to dictate the trends all by itself. A game cannot sell millions of copies to children.

Have they removed pick ups from single player too? I didn't watch much of the first video as LVL Cap's monotone voice gives me a bloody headache. But if that is the case, I completely agree with not liking the idea of taking that out. 

Anyway, I'm just going to sit back and wait for TB's first impressions of the game. Knowing his views on modern shooter campaigns, I usually agree with what he has to say. As for multiplayer, there are still arena shooters like Quake out there. Reflex is one of them. It's still in early access, but it's pretty fun and is already building a very small competitive scene.
