No audio on mp4 file

I made a video for school and then the audio worked fine then I showed to my friend and he accidentally opened it in quicktime instead of wmp and then after that whenever we open it, it has no sound, please help!

Create a copy of the original file, try playing it on a different system/media player.

 

I never liked Quicktime.

Does it output sound at all in any video, im having a hard time imagining how opening a file in a different player can break it. Only reason I can think of is codecs breaking..

well after i asked this i restarted the computer and it worked

I also hate quicktime

The only reason why I have it installed is to import GIFs in After Effects :ph34r:
