980ti G1 gaming led not working correctly after reboot

Hi.

 

My g1 gamings led does not work properly after a reboot. The white led's on the side of the windforce logo should light up when the gpu doesnt need its fans spinning. When the fans spin, the windforce logo lights up and the two white lights turn off. 

 

Everything works normally except for when I reboot. Then the gpu lights stay in the silent mode regardless if the fans are spinning or not. 

 

It works perfectly fine when I shut down the pc and boot it up again, just not when I restart it.

 

What could be the reason? Thanks a lot.
