A couple questions on Pascal

Si3Rra_7

From my understanding and from previous generations  and rumors :

1. the "GTX1080" won't be the fully unlocked 1st gen Pascal gpu , no ?

2. How much time do you think will pass until nvidia relieses the next titan & 1080 ti ?

3. If enough time passes do you think they could include HBM2 tech ?

No need to be patronizing , just give your opinion please .

The "1080 ti" will likely be the first non-titan full die card if Nvidia follows previous launch patterns. Beyond that, everything is speculation. I would be quite surprised if the titan/ti did not have hbm 2, but we don't get to know these sorts of things early.

1080 will most likely be fully unlocked GP104, with GDDR5X from what rumors seem to be saying.

Last I saw, the big boy Titan pascal GPU with HBM2 isn't coming out til next year.

1. Should be overclockable if that's what you mean

2. Within a year of the first pascal release (based on past ti releases)

3. That would require major changes to the original PCB so I would think an entirely new card would be in order

So Pascal can have 2 different types of memory ? Isn't GP100 ( big pascal ) forced to have GDDR5x since it has been implemented with gddr5x in mind ?

Little pascal will most likely come out first, with either GDDR5 or GDDR5X, because it seems HBM2 isn't completely ready from random things I've seen over the web.    Big pascal will probably come out later, most likely around next year, as that's usually how their release schedule works.

(small/medium first, big later)
