400$ Console Killer

First error you made was you added a stock cooler onto something that doesn't really require it. (Specifically to this price point.)

You call it a console killer but it doesn't consist of any peripherals, much like the real console which includes a controller.

Even if you further refine this build, i doubt Linus would even bother.

Ditch the cooler and RAM and get a better GPU. Any gaming machine could use more spending in the GPU than the RAM. RAM is an all or nothing property in games, so better not waste money on it.

Why? This 400$ build can already run Crysis 3 at High.

@Comic_Sans_MS  Really? This can run Crysis 3 at High. No i'm not joking.

@Xenift Stock cooler? It's an aftermarket cooler.

Woot my bad, yes an aftermarket cooler was what i mentioned.

As for the Crysis part i would really love to see the prove in that.

Because there is no need for more RAM at this budget, you gain literally zero performance by adding more RAM for a game that already has enough RAM for its recommended or minimum.

Gamedebate said it could run Medium or High on Crysis 3, and one guy told me that it could run Crysis 3 at high at 30 fps.

Game debate just looks at the requirements list, doesn't do actual benchmarking.

Benchmarks for the RAM

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ram-memory-upgrade,2778-8.html

You can clearly see that unless the RAM is under the minimum you rarely or never really gain any performance.

Both the GPU and CPU are running around 30-40 FPS (hardwares are kinda different. but it looks like it would run it)

It's not about being accurate, it's about running the actual benchmarks instead of looking at the requirement spec and nodding.

At high? Beacuse people and machines tell me that it should run at that FPS on High on Crysis 3.

Are you kidding me?

I just went ahead and keyed the data out and all it gave me was some random numbers, not logical explanations of why it was able to run it.

Also " There is insufficient game data to do a comparison " .

ALSO, it is giving a x4 860k a 8/10. You kidding me?

Yes, I watched both, they're set to high settings, no AA

I watched videos with the same 750 ti and x4 860k, and found that the average FPS is 34 fps on high with no or little frame dips.

Because you have more than twice the amount of Ram you need in a budget PC, the PSU is supper sketchy (You can get a cheap case and a slightly decent PSU for that much)

Also Crysis 3 on High?

Then great, what is the point of Linus making a console killer when a couple dozen people have already made videos that proved it's point?

People, Videos AND Machines all show that this rig can run Crysis 3 on High at around 37 34 fps with little or no frame dips.

What? Also if you mean second hand then i'll just give you these notes: It's mostly crappy here in my country, not gonna build it, and a lot of the parts can be damaged a little bit or totally, sometimes with features disabled too, stuff left over, etc.

What features disabled? Where do you get that from. I mean getting parts off second such as GPU/CPU in most case they are in working condition.

+1, Better GPU and a tier 4 (maybe a tier 3 or 5 as it's the most budget oriented XFX PSU with either the OEM being seasonic or super flower (only due to the factory it's being built in) and it's not even been 1-2 months since it got released so no reviews really anywhere...but it's XFX (known for only using seasonic) and they have great support with my own experience (power surge blew one of the caps out in the PSU but no damage was sustained on any other parts and I was upgraded to a slightly better XXX pro from a core edition and this was less than 5 days of waiting or maybe I just got lucky and got a manager first time contacting) PSU vs a tier 7 oh wait, it's not even tier 7 as it's a generic Chinese PSU so it's one that you should be staying away from.

1. $4 over is perfectly acceptable

2. 8GB is more than enough for gaming, this is not a lie, there is no way you're going to utilize all 8GB under normal gaming scenarios

3. the 950 is well worth the trade off for not having a CPU cooler and 16GB of ram. Plus the whole point in Console killer is more powar for the same price or same power for less.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
