watercooling is most of the time never worth it (diminishing returns) if your GPU doesnt thermal throttle with air coolers

Looking at how much you'll be spending, strictly speaking in terms of performance it isnt worth it

It will definably help keep temps down, and as such may give u a noticeable bump in OC potential.

The XSPC combo ur talking about im guessing is the Photon ( I use the 270 myself) and yes that pump is fine, but the single 240mm rad might be ur bottleneck especially if ur OC'ing ur CPU aswell.

I use 3x 240mm rads myself , one being a 80mm thick Monsta rad with push pull fans, I am however cooling a OC'ed 3930k along with my GPU so a not so insiginificant thermal load.

A single 120mm rad with good coolant flow should be able to match any air cooler, infact beat it. Just look at the retail hybrid options available for 980ti's. if ur CPU is not OC'ed it will see some benefit from the fact u have the equivalent of 2 120mm rads in that 240mm rad u have.

Most people will say 1x 120mm rad per component being cooled. I say 1x 240mm rad per component, especially if u want to OC to any significant degree.

All just IMO. take it with a grain of salt :)
