Someone talk me out of spending 1000.00 for a monitor!!!!

I spend 14+ hours a day on my computer, first for work and then for play. I am in the process of building a new system.( X99 MB / I7  /  32 GB DDR4 / GTX 980 x2 / 1000w PSU /  Liquid cooling)

I have been looking over the monitors for the past couple of weeks, looking at Linus reviews, reviews on newegg, Amazon, Memoryexpress etc etc and my head just hurts now.

I like the UW was looking at AOC, Acer, LG... anyone have any suggestions on a monitor under a grand?

lol I picked a random BENQ monitor because Linus likes them a lot and they seem good so it was just a random monitor that didn't cost $1000

I am currently warming my enduring better half to me spending £500+ on a curved LG :) do it, it's one of those purchases that may out last multiple computer builds.

PC - NZXT H510 Elite, Ryzen 5600, 16GB DDR3200 2x8GB, EVGA 3070 FTW3 Ultra, Asus VG278HQ 165hz,

Mac - 1.4ghz i5, 4GB DDR3 1600mhz, Intel HD 5000.  x2

Endlessly wishing for a BBQ in space.
