GPU-Z VRel and VOp

JaZoN_XD

Hi everyone, can anyone explain to me what "VRel" actually is? I understand VOp as in the max voltage that the card is allowed to go, but I don't know what VRel is. The description says "Limited by reliability voltage" which does not explain it to me. I am running Furmark and this PerfCap is showing up so how do I interpret it? Thanks.

We know as much as you do about those settings.

I've never seen anything but Util and VRel for PerfCap reasons -- Util when at idle, and VRel when the GPU maxes out its speed.  This is at stock speed/voltage and at overclocked/stock voltage and at overclocked/over-volted.

I've always took it to mean that to go higher would require more voltage.

Quote from W1zzard about perfcap:

This is a feature of newer NVIDIA drivers. They report back why performance is capped (reason for clocks reduced)
When you are not running a 3D app, clocks go down -> Limited by GPU Utilization

Other possible values are when the card is running into power limit, or when it's running too hot. There are also cap reasons related to voltage.

This feature is experimental, I'm not sure how useful it is for users. Also due to a bug the graph will overflow to the left, drawing over current value and the label.
