NZXT Manta officially unveiled. New MINI-ITX case

shermantanker

It certainly looks different. The squared off box with flat panels in tower or cube shape needed some innovation.

Price is a bit high but I can imagine that it's due to: 1) curved steel is expensive to make. 2) no one else makes a case like this. It's unique and stands out.

Nah doesnt cost more. Still stamped. But the r and d for the rad mounting and psu box is the main cost

Would be so much nicer if it was straight lined and not rounded.

And so much more boring .. another square shaped case.

Looks neat, but I'd still rather have the Define S Nano instead.

Ehhhh if anything I would get the Fractal S Nano, this is way to ugly in my opinion. Hopefully people who buy it use it in setups that it will blend in with but other than that I see nothing really special about it.

It doesn't looks like the s nano can accommodate a non-blower gpu its too close to the PSU

This one looks far too big it should have been matx instead. Looks are Nice.

Both cases seem worst than the Evolv itx imho still the small itx tower to beat

hmmm....yes...umm...okay?

Case looks okay but as soon as I saw the price tag, OVERPRICED HIDEOUSNESS!

Plus...

That soap dispenser is a bit too big isn't it?

Now I can't un-imagine pink or light blue soap on the other side of that window...

It will work fine for 2 slot non-blower gpus (total space is like dead on 2.5 slots), it just won't work for many of the 2.5 slot designs like the MSI 390.

A full 3 slots of spacing would have been better.

It's just not worth $140, should be somewhere in the $90 range.

NZXT CRT TV

Christ you are right.  It looks -exactly- like a CRT from the picture.  That's hilarious.

the design is perfect for people that don't like how square the S340 is.

I like the original S340 tho

but that price is crazy. S340 is what, $75?-$85? lol

I love this case, the round design really stands out, its a little expensive, other than that nice job.

I would love an Matx version, and also a "manta Mini" version, less space for water cooling on front and top, a little more narrow, and you`ll have a true ITX case.

I still like the original design, but a Mini version of this case still makes sense.

Looks so fat, the curved sides don't really help the aesthetic. The top bit is pretty nice though and I'm sure people will buy it, but it's just too damn fat.

I thought ITX cases were supposed to be, I don't know, small? I have a Hadron Air, which is a lot bigger than some (eg. A4-SFX) and it still manages to be 70-120mm shorter than this in every direction. I mean, the number of fans they have in there is great, the psu shroud is nice, and it's good to have cable management room, but that's not the point of an itx case, is it? It's to have a very compact case.

Like someone else said, at that size, why not just go buy a M-ATX case. It'll be the same size and you'll be able to get a better mobo for less.

You know what's easier than buying and building a brand new PC? Petty larceny!
If you're worried about getting caught, here's a trick: Only steal one part at a time. Plenty of people will call the cops because somebody stole their computer -- nobody calls the cops because they're "pretty sure the dirty-bathrobe guy from next door jacked my heat sink."
