GTX 970 Or wait for pascal?

So, i will be buying a new gaming pc in July and i am going through a tough time picking what GPU to get? 

I mean there is the option of getting the 970 and being done with it but then the pascal GPUs sound so good!

I have a strict budget of £950 so I'm not 100% sure i could even afford a pascal GPU, I would be looking for a similar rage card to the 

970 just newer and not with 3.5GB of memory!

What do i do guys? Anything would be helpful right now!

I just want to add AMD cards have a similar thing to Shadow Play on AMD Evolved.

The 970 is worth it now if you can pass it down to another system. Otherwise wait.

 

This is what I am doing, getting a 970 now to hold me over till pascal. 

 

But that's only because I will put in a lower powered system to make it game even better. 

 

If you don't plan on selling it or handing it down, don't waste the money.

I think it would be more sensible to just watch the news and look out for release dates. At this point, noone can give you a definitive answer.

Only that takes a big hit on performance, might aswell just use Win10 DVR at that point.

it will be aviable for purchase in time for "back-to-school" season

and so will pascal

Polaris is Q2 2016

Pascal is Q3 2016

better yet tell them you want the next gen Titan - because it will be the only card that Works with your School and you have to do homework on that

Quadros are a different story. Nvidia can't even show a Pascal chip and presented 2 980 MXM modules as Pascal to the press to keep hype going. Mark my words Pascal is not ready and is being rushed out the door. We all know how that ends up usually

are you talking about false specification relesed to press or the #RAMGate or are both of the the same? Or maybe are you talking about cracked dies on Fermi? What are you really talking about? Maybe Pascal is MXM rebrand?
