Have zowie fixed the scroll wheel issue on the EC series mice?

I've researched this mouse (EC2-a) and it seems like a good choice for me, but in some reviews the people talk about how the scroll wheel shifts back and forth and sometimes doesn't register scrolling. Has this since been fixed? Or is it still an issue?

I heard it had been fixed with the new 24 step wheel. I have one to replace my evo cl that has this problem but I haven't switched over yet. Certainly new it doesn't have the issue but my evo cl didn't develop the issue for a few months.
