Can I stand during class?

Hello I have realise that I sit way to much. I would like to change that but I'm still in high  school so I'm wondering if I'm allowed to stand in class? I have tried to walk around little bit but my teacher always says go sit in your seat and i obey. But its coming to the point I hate really sitting down. for 8 Hours of the day. Do teachers have the to tell you sit down ? 

I'm in 9th grade and most of my classes.

I do but I go straight to class and once i enter the class I'm sitting..

Nope. You are going to have to sit at your desk during lecture. Unless you legitimately have a bad back or such and have some sort of doctors note saying that you need to stand pieriodicly, you are going to have to get used to sitting for an hour or so at a time.

I would say its fine to stand up for a couple of seconds to stretch while the teacher isn't teaching or lecturing, but walking around is distracting to other students trying to do their work.

He's in Grade 9, you can only take like one or two classes of your choice lol.  He's gonna be stuck in history.

An hour of class at a time won't do any harm to you. Sit and stretch between classes.

 

Or again take lab/PE/shop classes that require more standing.

Sitting lower life expectancy by a quite a lot (he says while sitting) regardless of exercise. (though I am doubting these studies validity more)

I run every morning. and I do eat healthy my dad has no junk food in the house and we go out to eat twicea month usually

I guess it depends on the school, but we got to choose half our 9th grade classes (10  class hour schedule, 8 classes, only 1 hour for math, sci 9, social studies, english with possible honors/advanced sections instead each required.)

 

And the sci class probably should have labs as well.

i think your olny choice to it stand at home since at school their not gonna be flexible for you and then other students will be like i wanna do it too.

I know how you feel but during a lecture is just distracting to the teacher, not to mention disrespectful. I don't stand up unless necessary during my lectures but during lab lessons where I'm sitting at my laptop doing java for hours on end then yeah, I'll stand up for a while.

Just talk to the teacher then if you are SO intense about wanting to stand. (s)he will probably understand and be more capable to make the judgement call than we could knowing your behavior/habits thus far.

 

Without additional information it honestly just sounds like you are bored in class and looking for an excuse to drift off in space and distract other people.
