Ive been confused for a while about what they will call it. They cant call it xbox two because that is stupid and doesnt make sense.

They have dug themselves quite a big hole in this situation. I think everyone agrees that 720 would of gone down much better. Also we couldnt call it xbone then.

There are more gamers on consoles then on pc. Consoles are the biggest they have ever been, the ps2 sales will most likely be beaten. A mouse and keyboard are harder for little children(and immature ones) so i think the consoles have maybe 15-20 years before they are basically buildable pcs which just some with pre loaded software.

Im not saying consoles will be replaced by PCs but rather VR.

Leap motion and oculus rift are prime examples of replacements of physical controllers. Both are easier too.
