i7 3930K OC max core voltage

Hello, everyone!

One of my friends has an i7 3930K an it's not overclocked! #omg

He says he's planing to upgrade his whole system.

I think if you overclock this CPU he doesn't need to yet. He also has a killer cooler and some extreme ASUS formula board.

In addition to that a massive GTX 690.

So I told him I could overclock his CPU. I'm pretty experienced in overclocking CPUs but I wanted to hear if someone here has some tips for that specific CPU for me =)

Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

His cpu wouldn't even need upgrading without OC. Heck, even an unoverclocked i5 2500k would still be good.

Yes, I think so too but that CPU simply deserves to be overclocked :D

1.35V maximum and most went to about 4.4 maybe 4.5Ghz. No idea how close you will get on air, I had mine watercooled.
