Yep, saw them.....the Darth Vader key cap is also WOW! :o I really can't wrap my mind around the concept if paying so much for a single key cap, Anyway, I'd left the painted case to dry overnight in an AC room, and in the afternoon, I decided it was dry enough to fit it back to the bottom part of the case. Man, it was difficult, taking it off was much easier than slotting it back. After that part was done, I decided to use my Ducky white on white key caps, so that I can use it while waiting for the Miami set which would take easily another 4-6 weeks. The finished look is too Mac for me though....

The spray painting of this case had gone by much better than I'd expected. The lacquer coat seems to be doing a fine job of protecting it from smudges and such.,,,,white get dirty quite easily, by the lacquer seems to be preventing such annoyances.

I see no imperfection on the paint, you have done an outstanding job man

pretty sure that miami set would stand up with that frame

I've asked for a gold trooper than it cost me 170$ shipped to my country which is a pain!

by the way, what brand is that palm rest?

I've been looking for a filco TKL version one for a while but seems like its out of stock everywhere

does a palm rest make a difference?

Thanks, like I'd said, the paint work went by much more smoothly than I'd expected. The secret is to be patient and to spray a thin layer, and leaving it to dry before adding another coat. It was raining here and I was afraid it would affect the paint but, it went by very nicely.

Yeah, prices of such key caps can be pretty esoteric for sure, it's fortunate that I don't feel a need for such caps.....not yet anyway.

That wrist rest is from the Armaggeddon MKA-3 Cherry Red Black Hornet KB I had gotten, hey free with the KB so I might as well use it. I do have a Ducky wrist rest and I need them for when I play games, I don't need much when I type as my fingers floats over the keyboard, but playing FPS games, my wrist rest on the wrist rest while my fingers are on the WASD keys.

Love my first mechanical keyboard:

CM Storm Trigger w/Cherry MX Blue Key switches. These blues have a nice *click* to them (though my girlfriend hates them when she's trying to sleep) =P

Feels nice and sturdy, actually love the wrist rest... Probably would have tired wrists without it. Don't like how the two USB ports don't have enough power to use my mouse or headphones (requires an added 5v power adapter). LEDs are nice and bright (brighter with the 5v adapter). I don't particularly like the ESC position because it's right above the "~" key, would rather have it more towards the left edge. When I go to reach for it, I tend to overshoot it because by memory I'm used to it being all the way to the left. Also, the function keys are off because the ESC key is so far to the right, making the function keys off position as well for what I'm used to. I'd rather have F1 right above the "1" key, F2 above "2" etc.

Overall I love this keyboard. Maybe if this one decides to poop out on me, I'll go for the quieter Brown or Green switches. I also don't use the macro keys, so I'll try to find one that's just simple, no macros, no extra USB ports, and maybe even no LEDs. Just a plain mechanical, full N-Key rollover (this one is only 6-key rollover I believe).

The flash lightens up the LED brightness, plus there's still daylight, so that doesn't help either.

Logitech g710+ master race. My all time favorite keyboard

Ummmm, have you tried others? I have tried a number of brands, but more importantly, a good number of switch types....Red, Black, Brown, Blue and Green....Black's fast becoming my fave MX switch (have a Ducky DK9087G2 Pro and a Filco MJ NINJA with Blacks). I also have a Model M buckling spring and Topre keyboards. As for all time fave, Topre's hybrid dome/spring/capacitive switch is just.......TITS! Some have likened typing on a Topre to be like a 'cloud of boobs'......but, it's not for all. It's either you like it....or you don't.

I wish I had a mechanical keyboard :(

It is way to often that I don't push a key down all the way and it causes typos.
