Mechanical Keyboard Club!

Dave :)

Aw damn, I'd decided not to get the Flashget 600C since I'm committing to the Leopold and a more or less done deal on a white HHKB Pro 2. A guy in a local forum PM'ed me, he wants the transparent red key caps but NOT the keyboard (the Flashget). Offered me a discount on the Flashget keyboard itself, he keeps the red key caps, sounds too good to pass, so I'm in. So, that makes three more KB before I'm done.

The red aluminum space bar is from a guy in a local tech forum, he is on GH as well. I'm going to use it on my Storm Trigger Cherry Green as the stock space bar is discolored.

That sucked, but it's worth the wait, for me anyway. Be sure to update the firmware if the board you get does not have the latest firmware, it resolves certain compatibility issues as well as add a new lighting effect, call the Aurora. Basically, in this mode, your board is unlit, by striking any key, the keys to the left and right of it light up and shoots/moves away from the key you strike, which remains unlit. Like when you hit the 'H' key, 'G' and "h" lights up simultaneously, followed by the keys next to them, achieving the effect of the light moving away from both sides of the key you strike. I'm now using that mode, and when you type quickly, basically the whole board lights up.....can be a little disorientating for someone who needs to see the keys when I type.

I spy with my little eye...a red anodized aluminum space bar from feng! (not sure if it's the camera, or if that space bar looks salmony-pink)

/totally not looking at the YoTS

I don't know this space bar came from originally, could be from feng, but I know it is now! ;)

Yeah, I really want the Beige MJ2 104 or the TKL. Which ever I can get with browns. What kind of switches are you getting?

I'm curious, do you apply lube under the long keycaps that has stabilizers under them?

Yes, you can apply lube to the stabilizers. Look for videos on youtube. There is a guy named WhiteFireDragon that has some good videos on lubing.

wow someone reading over your shoulder could take that the wrong way.

but then i guess the lube would be helpful then

Just got a Shine 3 (White LEDs and Brown Switches).

The pics don't do this keyboard justice but you gotta work with what you got I suppose...

AjiQX2Nl.jpg

Oh hey you can see my blue shirt! Also the chips on the desk are due to a monitor falling once or something.

Rku3oz0l.jpg

I was lucky enough to get a replacement spacebar in my box:

Overall so far, I have enjoyed typing on this keyboard. The browns are a change to the usual blacks I have been using for a while but my first impressions so far is that it is money well spent!

Hint: you may missed something in my post, double check or something along those lines.

You need to invest in good camera to show off those amazing keyboards

does the yots come in TKL? I know dragon did

and what number you have on that yots? :D

#462/999, this is the Blue I had reserved. The distributer had kept the Brown I'd originally asked for, it was #092/999.....almost took it due to smaller number. Still, I tried both out and like the way the Blue sounded with the aluminum case/top. I'd swapped out the space bar with the Ducky logo one, with the Duck logo in white and the two stripes/line on either side in purple.....looks kind of cool to me.

BTW, just found out I can go get my Leopold FC660M tomorrow night.....two new keyboards within a couple of days of each other....Woot! Woot! I'll post pics of the Leopold when I get it, it has Cherry Clear switch, pretty rare......has anyone here gotten a Clear KB?

Indeed. I think the snake space bar ruins the clean look of the shine 3 IMO.

At least on the newer models, you get 2 spacebars so at least you have an option.

I think that's standard now for the DS3, they come with an extra non-snake logo space bar......I like the new color effect we can achieve with the RGB LED for the space bar...
